Last spring, I was challenged to write a song to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. In case you didn't know, Yarmouth is my home town. I was born and raised here. Like most other Yarmouthians, I tried to leave. Twice I moved away and I found my way back each time. The town has a grip on its residents. Those that leave our village, often return.
The song is written about a couple in a small fishing town, much like this one. It expresses the trials the heart endures when it pines. Hope can act as a beacon on the darkest of nights.
The song is free to download and if you like this song, please share it.
