Happy New Year

In my two month hiatus/hibernation I neglected to wish all of my readers a Wonderful holiday season and joyous times in the days ahead to everyone. Better late than never they say and I believe that to be true... none the less in my attempts to redeem myself I am on December 30th going to wish a happy early New Year to all who celebrate it. For those who follow the 13 Moon /Mayan Calenders, this greeting is 7 months early! How is that for an early start ;-)

The Wii Fit Plus and the Penguin Lady

This year for Christmas Santa brought mommy a Wii fit. Okay, that isn't entirely true... I bought it. Mommy was getting plump because she likes Christmas food too much. Not that I've really been one to care about a few pounds here and there because I listen to my body and I do regulate myself... but lets face it, this summer I will be 30 and well... I'm getting soft.

So the first two days, I got on every morning and worked out for about 45 minutes the first day, mostly doing yoga... which is normally a part of my fitness routine. I am amazed at the capabilities of the balance board. Turns out I am the only person in the house with a decent center of balance... unless I am on the computer, I tend to hunch and lean in too close to the monitor.

Day two I decided to get brazen and work on the strength training. Mistake.
I am a weakling! My lower body can take more abuse than my upper body can though. Because of this attempt at bodily destruction, today I am waddling around the house like a penguin. I had no idea I was this out of shape... so, my goal for this day is muscle repair for the penguin lady.

I was pleased to find out that both of my children were perfectly healthy but my cats are overweight. Phoenix weights 8lbs and Scampy weighs almost 12!

Tommorow is another day, maybe I will do some aerobics!

Simplify My Life with HP and Windows 7

HP and Windows 7 are having a contest for members of the Mom Bloggers Club to simplify their lives with an HP Mini 110 with Windows 7. Oh, do I ever want this! To be honest, I've been avoiding blogging and many other things that I enjoy because I feel too tied down to this desk and it has been too difficult to accomplish the things that I need to do around here. It has been getting to the point that I feel like I'm wearing a ball and chain every time I sit down in this chair. I am feeling a strong urge for mobility. The HP Mini with Windows 7 would would not only sever that chain but free up the desktop computer for the other family members. I find it challenging to share a computer with 4 people and sometimes stressful when we all need to do equally important things at the same time. I feel this could help us manage our time better leaving more time for some family activities not to mention a heightened sense of accomplishment for all parties involved! Now if the HP Mini could only cook supper for me, I would have it made in the shade with a glass of lemonade!

The cool thing about this contest is that not only is it open to the US and Canada but if you leave a comment on any bloggers website who is entered in the contest you will also earn yourself an entry. You heard correctly... Hp and Windows 7 are randomly giving away three (3) HP Mini 110-1100 by Studio Tord Boontje PCs to readers who leave a comment on entrants posts. In short, leave a comment on this post and you are entered!
