Please fix my phone...

Okay!!!

When I said "Break the phone, please"....
I really wasn't serious.
I swear it was just frustration...
What I really meant was FIX the phone
Because now the phone is broken, one has no dial tone
and the other one has a dial tone so buzzy it sounds like another dimension.

Seriously, this isn't funny anymore!
Please, Please fix my phone.

Break the phone, please... OR... Yay, Truck!

The phone is driving me crazy!! I'm sorry if I have been coming off irate this week, It hasn't really been an off week or anything... To be honest except for a few random events that I look as "Karmic Humour" I've been in a very sparkling mood!!

Last night I had a few friends over and they left around 2am or so. Hubby and I went to bed around 4... the phone rang this morning early. My oldest ended up answering it even though he isn't supposed to answer the phone without permission but we were downstairs still in bed. The phone jack doesn't work downstairs and we were warm. The phone was ticking me off in bed! It's not a pleasant way to wake up :(

I can just imagine how irritated Jeremy felt being up here having the phone ring uncontrollably! I swear some people are lacking in phone etiquette! It rang for a LONG time!!

Anyway, I guess it was someone wanted to invite us out to breakfast which was nice and everything. However, since Jeremy could barely hear what they were saying because there was SO much static on the line, we really have no idea who was trying to invite us to breakfast.

All week long the phone has been doing this strange ring. When you pick it up there is no one there and a moderate amount of static on the line... then you can hear it ring in the distance... even though your also hearing the dial tone. So my theory is that the lines are crossed or that there is something wrong with the wiring. Even if it has given a true ring (not the strange ring) we can barely hear who is there. I just want to be hear who is on the other end of the line and not have to yell over the static or make them yell over the static lol!

Seriously though, it's worse than a bad cell phone. I guess hubby's father had random problems with the phone line before we moved in.

We finally get the truck back today!! It will be the first time in a long time that it will be working completely functional. It wants too with all the money going into it's repairs. But Toyota's are good trucks and as old as this one is I know that if we take care of it that we will get many more years out of it! I'll finally be able to get some groceries... the cupboards are getting pretty bare!

Last Day of Fishing and New Song!

Sorry for the lack of blog post yesterday! I was busy writing/recording a new song! If anyone is interested in checking it out you can find it on my myspace profile! The song is called Soul Seeking.

Last day of fishing for the hubby, so for the next six months I don't have to make giant fishing lunches or wash smelly stinky fishy cloths! YAY!! Trust me my youngest goes through enough dirty laundry to be able to afford to have the washer gone for that extra wash.. and a smelly wash at that! Plus believe it or not, I actually like having him home, watching him fix up the house and work on the property. It feels like we are achieving something and I like that!

Jack and Jill rolled down the hill... Wait... No, Only Jill

Last year we moved into our first home together. The property was a mess and hubby spend most of the summer landscaping and cutting down Alder bushes. Well this year I decided that it was high time to remove all of the roots out if we want to be able to run the ride on down there at any point it time. So I hacked for a few hours with a pick axe and a shovel (I feel it today too! OWW).

So this one stump just didn't want to come up no matter how much I hacked and tugged and shoveled. I was getting pretty discouraged/determined to remove this vengeful root from the ground. No give.... NO GIVE. I pulled so hard trying to get this root out (listening to my meditation music while I was at it too haha) that I tumbled over backwards, rolling down the slope... root after root hitting me until... I land in the swamp.

That was when I decided it was time to come inside and like my wounds like the lion in her den. Hubby was kind enough to put my things away for me too after I walked away all disgruntled! Sweet guy!!

One of those days

The kids are telling knock-knock jokes that make absolutely no sense. Then the chanting begins... "Jeremy has a girlfriend, Jeremy has a girlfriend, Jeremy has a-"
Ahhh Kindergarden. My youngest has graduated to the broken record phase and there isn't enough Midol in the world for mommy!

Usually, I'm an absolute abundance of patience. Not today. I seem to have misplaced it somewhere... maybe the cat ran off with it. I just need to breath deep and find my center again and all will be well. Often I have 6 kids or so running around here.... today my two boys are more than enough.

So, If all else fails... and I start grabbing for my hair, I'll just keep in mind that bedtime is only a few hours away. Tomorrow is a brand new day!

The Future

So, just so everyone is in the loop... I'm thinking about hosting my own giveaways and I thought it would be rather appropriate to give away some local Indie Music. So over the next week or so I think I'm going to start talking to some people and see if they want to donate a copy of their CD or even a digital download or something! I'll let you know how that works out :)

For those of you who don't know (which is probably most!) A few years ago my hubby, a close friend and I had a site for the Yarmouth - Halifax, NS area called Musicformules.net. It ended up being a really valuable resource to musicians and music fans for booking gigs and going to shows and well, just a place for everyone to meet up. We made the stupid mistake of letting it go under... anyway I'm thinking of bringing the essence of it back with a youtube channel.. a short beach jams section that will feature some jams that go on here with random folk... It's going to be a slow process though because it envolves me going through a whack of footage that I have and linking to a bunch of other youtube videos and stuff... plus I have a bunch of planning to do to bring back the forum and stuff....

I'll keep everyone updated!

Bzz Campaign - Beech Nut's Let's Grow

For those of you who don't know, I'm a Bzz Agent. I love trying out new products and doing what comes naturally for me... and that is talking about it. Right now I'm involved in a couple campaigns but the one I would like to talk about is the Beech Nut's Let's Grow Campaign. My Bzz Kit came equipped with lots of nice treats to share with the babies and little ones in my life. Treats like Biter Biscuits, 7 Grain Nibblets - Mixed Veggie, and Strawberry Banana Yogurt Nibbles.

The best thing about these products is that Beech Nut has a "No Junk" Policy! That is something that I would love to see in other products out there, not just baby/toddler products. As a mom, knowing that my kids are eating food that is nutritious is very important to me.

Yesterday my best friend brought her 20 month old daughter Claire over and she loved all of the products, she especially liked the yogurt covered cereal pieces the best which happens to be my nieces favorite as well. Claire was popping them in her mouth so fast I was afraid she was going to forget to chew. It was cute I must say!

EO Product Review

Back in January I won a contest that an organic soap company in California held. I had to select what I thought the next EO Soap should be. It was Christmas time and I was surround by Chocolate and Mint everything so my choice was a no-brainer. I won for months worth of $150 orders and I finally received my first two months last week.

I received the Chocolate and Mint soap in a recent order and the smell is delightful! It took me right back to Christmas time! Let's not forget about how light I feel either, no heavy chemicals!

I am so impressed with the quality of their products. I ordered both the body products and the Lavender Cleaners and the smell is wonderful. It is not overly strong but at the same time the aroma is very there and very calming.

I have been using the Grapefruit and Mint shower gel as a shampoo and my hair has never been softer. I can't wait until the shampoo and conditioner comes in. My skin is soft and it has glowed like never before.

EO is a family business. They take pride in their work and it is apparent in the quality of their products!
